Jarle Vespestad

Jarle Vespestad (born 16 April 1966 in Jessheim) is a Norwegian jazz percussionist.

He graduated from the Toneheim Folk High School (1988) and Jazzlinja (NTNU) (1990). In Trondheim he was involved in Veslefrekk,[1] Trondheim Kunstorkester, Farmers Market (1991-) and the Maria Kannegaard trio (1993-).

In Oslo Vespestad has worked with a group since 1996, consisting of Sigurd Køhn, Silje Nergaard, Supersilent and Tord Gustavsen. He has recorded and toured with Gustavsen's trio.[2]

He is the younger brother of Liz Tove Vespestad who is also a well known musician.
